Well, this isn't strictly related to development, but I made 3 icons for Compiz which can be seen below. I'm still at the 'tell me what you think and I'll adjust them' stage - so comment away :)

I like the top red logo. I can read compiz well, and I like the redundancy with the symbols. I also think the red stands out.

Well, looks like a red cross donation boxes. Glossy jelly transparent effect would be nice.

I like the blue but I'd like to see it with the Compiz title along the bottom like the red one.
I wonder if the bottom corner of the box shouldn't be pulled up a bit too so it looks more like a cube and less like one of those Hanukkah tops.
Overally though I think they really look great.
By angling your "X", you've made it look a little like a Christian cross, which is offensive.
I like them all, but I think the red one has the best layout. could jou make the red one green?

Some suggestions:
- Remove the titlebar strip, just use the "cube"
- Simplify the cube edges
- Fix face lightning a bit (gradient?)
- Change "compiz" font to match the result
All look nice. The green one is my favourite (blue seems to be the basic "safe" choice, and the red might be a bit too "offensive"). The layout with the green one is also the best one. The text could stand out a bit better tho'..
And rounded cross edges could silence the fundamentalists :)
